On the morning of January 1, 2022, after celebrating the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, I was walking on the pier in Trieste.
A bottle of sparkling wine floated by. A jellyfish approached it, touched it, and then swam away, seemingly uninterested.
I shot a video to which, influenced by the theme of water, the swinging character and the sweet melancholy suggested by the scene, I then added the piano composition Wasserklavier, by Luciano Berio.
Even now, listening and watching, I return, with a glimmer of hope, to the climate of that period (the beginning of the second decade of the second millennium) so strange, painful and difficult.
