Radio Time Machine Walk
Listening walk in 120 years of radio sounds
Radio Time Machine Walk uses fragments of 120 years of radio broadcasts ranging from the first transatlantic radio message by Guglielmo Marconi in 1901, to a French broadcast personally picked up in the Morocco Sahara Desert on 31 January 2020 announcing "a new wave of influence in Wuhan". The archive is continuously updated.
I partly used the same audio materials that were used for Radio Wega B-AIR, but here the fragments are distributed amongst a set of portable speakers carried by participants on the sound-walk.
In the performance realized in Port Bou, B-AIR Walter Benjamin symposium, 27-30 September and Cuneo, EASTN-DC, Music on the Wedge, Cuneo, April, 8-13, 2022, 24 speakers transmitted audio fragments divided into five-year periods.

Radio Time Machine Walk utilizza frammenti di 120 anni di trasmissioni radio che vanno dal primo messaggio radiofonico transatlantico di Guglielmo Marconi nel 1901, a una trasmissione francese captata personalmente nel deserto del Sahara in Marocco il 31 gennaio 2020 che annunciava "una nuova ondata di influenza a Wuhan". L'archivio è continuamente aggiornato.
Ho usato in parte gli stessi materiali audio che sono stati usati per Radio Wega B-AIR, ma qui i frammenti sono distribuiti tra una serie di altoparlanti portatili portati dai partecipanti al sound-walk.
Nella performance realizzata a Port Bou, B-AIR Walter Benjamin symposium, 27-30 settembre e Cuneo, EASTN-DC, Music on the Wedge, Cuneo, 8-13 aprile 2022, 24 altoparlanti trasmettevano frammenti audio divisi in periodi quinquennali.
